In the context of MICROP work package 2, “Walk on the wild side”, PhD student Dario Ramirez and MICROP collaborator Dr. Antonio Leon from the University of Quito are sampling soil from agricultural potato fields and native soils in the Andes mountains.

These will be used for bioassays to unravel the impact of plant domestication on microbiome assembly and functions.
