After spending years on doing and promoting microbiome research in soils, plants and humans, MiCRop and MicroHealth are very excited to see that microbiome research is now being taken to a whole new level.
Last week was the launch of the brand new Holomicrobiome Institute in the Artis Planetarium. A vast interdisciplinary institute with the mission of creating real world impact with the help of microbes. To shed some light on the plant and soil side of microbiome research, MiCRop consortium member Roeland Berendsen gave an inspiring talk.
With the Holomicrobiome Institute focussing on microbiome research across even more natural systems, including animals and water, we're hopeful that the community we helped build will only expand further. Together, we will make sure more people will see the power of microbes and how they can be applied to work towards a more sustainable future!
