Today Dario succesfully defended his PhD titled 'Born to Rewild: Reconnecting beneficial plant-microbiome alliances for resilient future crops'. During his PhD Dario went on an exciting expedition to gather soil and data throughout the Ecuadorian Andes, providing valuable data on native microbes of modern-day crops from their centres of origins and how reforging these microbe-plant bonds could make our modern crops more resilient to pests and diseases.
