MiCRop's new PhD candidate Sara Sá Pereira recently left together with Dario Ramirez on an exciting expedition to investigate the Capsicum microbiome in Ecuador, both in cultivated and wild environments. Their goal: to determine if beneficial microbiomes from the plant’s native region can help greenhouse systems resist aphid infestations.
